I have a client with a coffee shop providing wireless to guests through an Airport Extreme router. Weve tested 4 other mainstream routers and the connectivity is best and fastest with the Airport.
We want to capture guest logins, but have no interest in charging. We simply want them to login so we can track usage.
Is there a way to setup Self-Created logins for our guests using the CoovaAAA system with Airport or am I going to need to setup a server to provide captive portal management.
I noticed some very nice features on what appears to be the firmware versions, but I cant do that because of the apple.
Im glad Coova is around, and Im hoping you can help.

Re: CoovaAAA with Airport Extreme
Is it possible to set up the Airport Extreme as an access point only behind a WRT54Gx with the firmware on the WRT for captive portal management?
Will the new WRT160N be compatible with this firmware at all any time soon?
Thanks.
Re: CoovaAAA with Airport Extreme
You can't do a captive portal with the Airport. It doesn't have the right software on it. Another machine could do the captive portal control, but it requires layer 2 networking to the client (meaning, your AP has to bridge the network to the WAN).
