I had some issues w/B5 but it's been a while since I tested it.
Have you made fixes since the June release? I've not tried it since 6/18 and just wondered if I should try again?
Site survey is broken in Beta 5. Where do I report bugs?
Error:
Sorry, your driver has bss_info_version 108 but this program supports only version 107.
I also recived the following warning when restoring a b4 backup to b5.
WARNING: different board type (ours: 0x0467, file: 0x467)!
This is on a WRT54GL.
thanks
I suppose the packages you need to update (install with -force-reinstall option) are all the packages with the coova prefix: -chilli, -hotspot, -webif, and -miniportal.
Sorry for the linux learing curve
ipkg list_installed shows;
coova-chilli - 1.0-coova.6-1 -
coova-hotspot - 0.1-1 - Coova-Hotspot OpenWrt Base Package
coova-webif - 1.0-4 - An OpenWrt web console based ...
-don't see miniportal
So General form would be
ipkg -force-reinstall
Where will I find these pkgs, and should I have miniportal?
??
ipkg -force-reinstall http://ap.coova.org/chilli" target="_blank
ipkg -force-reinstall http://ap.coova.org/hotspot" target="_blank
ipkg -force-reinstall http://ap.coova.org/webif" target="_blank
ipkg -force-reinstall http://ap.coova.org/miniportal" target="_blank
??
I'm away for 4 days, all I have is SSH access till I get back.
thanks for your help.
I confirm there is a strange problem with only one hotspot of his.
The radius secret used for accounting is wrong. The authentication is ok.
It seems that it happens with both coova chilli.5 and .6 (r64 svn)
What is strange is that I have no problem with the r64, and other users have succesfully tested the latest beta.5 firmware.
Note: I've had several problems reaching coova.org website these last days. It seemed unreachable for several minutes/hours several times.
That 2.4 refers to Linux kernel 2.4. Sorry about not updating all the package version numbers... Many actually haven't changed. I suppose the packages you need to update (install with -force-reinstall option) are all the packages with the coova prefix: -chilli, -hotspot, -webif, and -miniportal.
I think I'll wait for someone else to test this out first as I'm away for a few days and I hate breaking things before I leave.
I have been having some issues with Coova and Worldspot. Right now some of my tickets responses are coming thru with wrong secret. This is preventing the session logging from working right.
I have just done an upgrade
ipkg install http://ap.coova.org/tmp/coova-chilli-r64.ipk" target="_blank
in attempt to resolve this, but it does not seem to have affected the behaviour.

Re: Coova Beta 5 has been released
david, would you consider updating the file names for download ?
Right now they come across without Coova or your version #.
Plus the RAW broadcom image there says -2.4- what is that in ref to ?
Thanks
