Using WiFiDog with CoovaAAA
We have patchs for WiFiDog to add the following features:
- Better RADIUS support in the PHP captive portal application
- WISPr support in both the gateway and captive portal
- MAC address authentication in gateway and captive portal (using RADIUS)
Using CoovaAAA by example
The added features are designed to improve WiFiDog's RADIUS capabilities and WISPr compliance. To this end, changes have been made to both the gateway and captive portal portions of the WiFiDog suite. With the changes, WiFiDog can be used with CoovaAAA, meeting the minimum requirements.
Patching WiFiDog
For instuctions on patching a fresh svn source tree, see this page. Keep an eye on the page as development continues in the svn version and new versions of the patches are released.
Configuring CoovaAAA
Create a Network named coova.org and configure it with a RADIUS Authenticator. Use your CoovaAAA shared secret and RADIUS settings and the PAP authentication module. The Wifidog interface provides an example configuration which can be changed with the correct settings.
Run the wifidog gateway with MacAuthRealm coova.org in the wifidog.conf.
