CoovaAP Embedded Captive Portal
CoovaAP has a light-weight embedded captive portal to use for either a simple Terms of Service (ToS) HotSpot or for users only - with or without the ability to self-register. There is support for OpenID whereby users can login using their existing OpenID account and can be configured to use local users, your own RADIUS service, or CoovaAAA.
Setup
To enable the Coova mini-portal:
- Select "Internal Hotspot" for HotSpot Type on the HotSpot / Configuration page
- Install required packages per any notices that appear on the page
- Enter your e-mail address and other basic settings
- Reboot your router on the Status page
You can proceed to edit the default portal pages in the HotSpot / Portal configuration page.

Additional notes
- The Owner E-mail is used when users use the contact owner page or when users self-register (copy of conformation is sent to the owner e-mail too)
- If your location requires e-mail to be sent through a SMTP relay, configure that in HotSpot / Location along with other location specific info
- The default setup uses a unique self-signed SSL certificate for the secure web console and portal
