Installing and configuring Wifidog

On the CoovaAP web-based configuration page Hotspot / Configuration, you are able to select either Chillispot UAM or WifiDog UAM as the access controlling software. Chillispot comes already installed with the firmware, but Wifidog does not. So, when you select WifiDog, you will be told This page has features that require the wifidog package. To install the wifidog package, simply:

• Go to the System / Installed Software admin page
• If nothing appears under Available Software, click the Update package list link near the top of the page
• Under Available Software, find the pacakge wifidog and click the --> button to move it into the Install column
• Click on Install Software to install the wifidog package and dependencies

Once Wifidog is installed, you will see the Wifidog settings on Hotspot / Configuration as shown in the screenshot below. Set your Gateway ID and configure at least one authentication server. Under Hotspot / Advanced you are also able to change your wifidog firewall rules.
