Coova Smartphone ExtensionCoovaSX is a small application for your smartphone that will login to a Hotspot using a captive portal that supports WISPr. This includes CoovaChilli driven network and most commercial Hotspot hardware and services. Ideal to use with your CoovaAP and CoovaAAA account. Also see CoovaFX for your firefox browser. If you'd rather use 802.1x, there are instructions here. Download and installFrom your phone, install CoovaSX over-the-air by clicking on the link. Configure and use
Configure the credentials to be used when logging into your Hotspot. Realm is optional, so is disabling the duration timer or enabling debug logging.

From the Applications menu, launch CoovaSX. The first time you do so, the Settings screen is presented. |
Key in your account information - whether that is your CoovaAAA account or any other account setup for authentication. |
Now that you have configured your account, you will never have to again! CoovaSX is ready to find and login to your Hotspot. |
Discover
Determining if you are on-line or at a WISPr-enabled HotSpot:

To discover a WISPr-enabled network, press the Enter button or select Discover from the Options menu, as shown. |
You may get a security warning as CoovaSX tries to access the network, see below. You also might be prompted for an Access point to use. |
If you are already on-line, it will of course say so. If a WISPr-enabled network is found, the location name is shown. |
Connect
With your credentials configured and a network found, login!

When a network is found, press the Enter button or select Login from the Options menu. |
When logged in, the duration of the session is shown. |
Press the Enter button or select Logout from the Options menu when finished. |
Application permissions
How to remove the security warnings when CoovaSX access the network:

In the Applications menu, launch the Application Manager application. |
Find CoovaSX and select Options followed by Open. |
For both Network access and Connectivity, select Always allowed. You can also select the default Access point to use. |
