What’s this all about?

We have a few simple ideas about how to make Hotspot setup and management easier than it is today. Our approach includes firmware, authentication and management services, and captive portal solutions.

Who is this for?

Initially System Administrators, Developers, and Integrators who are bulding hotspot solutions. But, anybody with a WPA Enterprise router can use our authentication services to secure and selectively share access.

What is CAP Firmware?

CoovaAP is the only open source firmware tailor made for Hotspots. It turns an off-the-shelf ‘commodity’ wireless router into a feature rich Hotspot. CAP builds on some very cool work done by some of the leading open solutions in this area, including OpenWrt, ChilliSpot, WifiDog, OpenVPN etc. You can download it here.

How Easy is it?
